Andrew C. Sagliocca
Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President
Andrew C. Sagliocca has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Esquire Financial Holdings, Inc. and Esquire Bank, N.A. (collectively “Esquire”) since 2009. In 2023, Andrew was promoted to Vice Chairman while maintaining his current roles. Andrew has led numerous capital raises for Esquire and other institutions including Esquire’s initial public offering in 2017. Prior to this, Andrew served as Esquire’s Chief Financial Officer when joining Esquire 2007. Prior to joining Esquire, Andrew was a senior financial officer for 13 years at North Fork Bank, one of the top-performing financial institutions in the country. At North Fork Bank, Andrew was an integral part of growing this $1.5 billion community bank into a $60 billion regional commercial bank with over 300 branches in the New York metro area. Andrew was formerly a manager in KPMG LLP’s Financial Services Group, specializing in financial institutions. Andrew has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business, and in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Eric S. Bader
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Eric Bader was named Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary, of the Company effective December 2018. Eric served as the Chief Financial Officer from January 2009 to December 2018 and as the Treasurer in 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Eric held the position of Vice President at Goldman Sachs and served as a Vice President and Investment Officer at North Fork Bank. His experience managing institutional portfolios, liquidity positions and risk as a senior bank officer and as a financial officer on Wall Street brings a high level of expertise to the Company. Eric has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
As the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary, Eric is responsible for the execution of business strategy and is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Company.
Eric holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Towson University in Maryland and a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree from Loyola University in Maryland.
Ari Kornhaber
Founder, Executive Vice President & Head of Corporate Development
Ari P. Kornhaber is a former trial lawyer who represented plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice and mass tort litigations. Subsequently, Ari was a Founder and Senior Officer at a family of financial service companies that provided litigation financing to lawyers, law firms and their clients. Having been both a practicing contingency fee lawyer, who has experience bringing cases to verdict, coupled with being a financial service provider to the legal community for more than 15 years, Ari has a rare perspective and a deep understanding of the unique financial issues practicing lawyers face.
Currently, Ari can often be found on stage presenting at various trial lawyer association conferences and seminars across the country, as well as abroad, or online presenting on webinars, webcasts and podcasts.
Ari obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Oneonta Sate College and he holds a JD from Touro Law School.
Michael Lacapria
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Michael Lacapria is a talented and seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He brings a wealth of expertise in accounting and finance areas. From October 2016 through December 2018, Michael Lacapria served as the Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Bank Trust Corporation and the regional finance director for Deutsche Bank’s U.S. operations. From 2014 to 2016, Michael served as a Director in Cantor Fitzgerald’s real estate lending and investment management platforms. From 2000 to 2014, Michael was an auditor in KPMG LLP New York’s financial services practice focused on investment and commercial banking.
Michael has been the Chief Financial Officer of the Company since December 2018. He is responsible for the accounting and finance functions and partners with Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer on development and execution of strategic objectives as well as investor relations management.
Michael obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business. He also graduated from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State with Honors in Accounting.
